Yes, we do exist!
"Valley Center Democrat" is not an oxymoron anymore!
A small group of fired-up Dems got together in 2008 and held a meeting. From there, we began gathering strength in numbers and realized we were not alone in this pastoral place we call home.
Today, the Valley Center Democratic Club is firmly established. Surprisingly, there are roughly 2,600 registered Democrats in our town, and this does not include those who are listed as declined-to-state. Our dynamic group consists of people of myriad backgrounds -- from doctors, professors and tech execs to retirees and stay-at-home moms.
We meet monthly in various locations for different purposes. Often, we hold our meetings at the Valley Center Library with a guest speaker. Other months we have social gatherings to get to know each other and have some fun. We volunteer our time and donate money to charitable organizations, as well as work to support Democratic candidates and get out the vote during election seasons.
